Inviting Counterparties
Overview
Before sending or receiving a payment, you must add the other business as a Business Contact. This is done by sending an invitation.
When You Would Use This
You need to invite a counterparty when you want to:
- Send a payment to a new business
- Request a payment from a new business
- Establish a relationship with a trading partner
Steps
- Go to Business Contacts in the sidebar, or use the Invite Payor or Payee quick action on your dashboard.
- The Add New Business Contact dialog will open.
- Enter the counterparty's email address (you can add multiple at once).
- Click Send Invitation(s).
What Happens Next
The counterparty will receive an email invitation. Once they accept, they will appear as an active Business Contact and you can begin transacting.
You can track the status of your invitations in the Pending Invitations section on your dashboard or the Invited tab on the Business Contacts page.
Notes
- You can resend, copy the invite link, or cancel a pending invitation from the Business Contacts page.
- Both parties must complete business verification before payments can be created.
