Creating a Simple Pay

Overview

Simple Pay allows you to send a direct payment to a counterparty or request a payment from one.

When You Would Use This

Use Simple Pay when you want to make a straightforward payment without escrow protection.

How It Works

Creating a Simple Pay follows a three-step process: Payment, Details, and Review.

Steps

Sending a Payment

  1. Click Send Payment from the dashboard or Transactions page.
  2. Select Simple Pay.
  3. Step 1 — Payment: Choose a Business Contact, enter the amount, and select a payment method.
  4. Step 2 — Details: Select a purpose for the payment, enter a reason (visible to your counterparty), and optionally attach or generate an invoice.
  5. Step 3 — Review: Review the payment summary and click Confirm and Send.

Requesting a Payment

  1. Click Request Payment from the dashboard or Transactions page.
  2. Select Simple Pay.
  3. Step 1 — Payment: Choose a Business Contact, enter the amount, and set a due date.
  4. Step 2 — Details: Select a purpose, enter a reason, and optionally attach or generate an invoice.
  5. Step 3 — Review: Review the request and click Confirm and Send.

What Happens Next

  • Send Payment: The counterparty receives an invitation to accept the payment.
  • Request Payment: The counterparty receives a request and can choose to accept and pay.

If an approval policy applies, the payment may need to be approved by a manager before it proceeds.

Notes

  • You can save a payment as a draft and return to it later.
  • Purpose options include: Pay for Goods, Pay for Business Services, Salary or Wages, and Other.
  • Invoices can be generated automatically or uploaded manually.
